Good Morning America has an article on their website describing what it is to date a Sugar Daddy. The good news is, if you’re like me and you always thought a sugar daddy was someone who took care of a woman by paying for her bills, and in return he would get something in return, most likely sex, then you are correct. I’m glad that’s cleared.
The article doesn’t go into much detail about the inner workings of a Sugar Daddy and Sugar Baby, but it does talk about a few women who have come forth and were willing to talk about their own relationships. The women sum it up as a “dating relationship with benefits or special perks”. One of the examples in the piece is of a 40 year old woman who is living in a $5,000-a-month New York apartment paid by her Sugar Daddy. What does he get in return? A sexual companian, minus the typical dating drama.
This sounds pretty simple, but this is also sounds a little like prostitution. Some critics do feel this is like prostitution or an escort service. It’s a business transaction that’s happening, an exchange of money for sexual comfort. Others feel it’s simply a dating relationship with perks.
I’m curious to see what others think about this subject. Comment on this below and tell me your thoughts.

According to Juniper research report, mobile dating may be on the rise. The report claims that mobile dating will become a $1.4 billion industry by 2013. With newer technologies on the rise such as video messaging over your mobile phone, I can see this becoming more common place.
As in the techcrunch article, I do think the numbers are a bit optimistic. I find that younger people will use the newer technology based sites; the 18-25 year old demographic.
