When it comes to a date online women are for the most part in the driver’s seat. The reason being that far too many dating websites are overpopulated with men. For some places the ratio is way out of proportion so the choice for women to be in an online relationship is much easier in that respect.
However in a number of ways it is much harder for women because of the amount of profiles and chats she has to sift through to find the most compatible man for her.
That being said there are a few things a woman should definitely not do if she wants her time looking for a date online to be well spent. Taken one at a time or in combination these things can all but guarantee an end to any future contact with most male prospects.
1. While setting up a virtual date you will want to visit the chat room of whatever dating site you signed on with. The one good thing about online dating chat is it forces you to converse. No awkward pauses or wondering what to talk about. It does not mean however that you should right off the bat get into your life history. This happens more than it should. Not only is the woman’s online profile overcrowded but then she goes into a chat room and expands on it even further.
There comes a point when most men will tell themselves it is not worth it. She just talks way to much. They shudder at the thought of meeting them on a first date in the real world. Don’t let that happen. You want them to learn about you but an air of mystery in a woman can really peak a man’s interest so do you best to keep your response short and to the point.
Later on when you get to know each other better you can add more but even then you want to parse it out at a deliberate pace. That way you can keep him coming back over and over again to find out who is this intriguing woman.
2. Not all but the majority of men like to do the pursuing when it comes to relationships. It’s the same for the online world so don’t give them the impression that you really need a date. The way to do that is not to sound pleading.
You may have seen some date online personals where the woman says please contact her or she is constantly messaging a guy to the point it gets creepy.
True she will get some takers for a date online but they may not be of the variety she is looking for. To most men however it will scream out that she has not had a date in a long time and is desperate. The first thing many men think when they run across a woman like that is what’s wrong with her?
